I would like to wish my dad all the best as he is recovering from some cancer surgery last week. Thank God, he came through it well, but it has been a tough time. MYKONOS MONDAY
This is an oil painting of an alley in Mykonos, done by my father. I really like the tranquil quality with the deep blues of the water and sky. I would like to wish my dad all the best as he is recovering from some cancer surgery last week. Thank God, he came through it well, but it has been a tough time. ReplyDeleteThis image certainly does invoke a peaceful feeling! I have photographs a friend took from there hanging in our guest bedroom for that exact reason.
Glad you're back. Thinking and praying for your Dad, may he make a complete recovery and be back painting very soon. That pic of him with you and your siblings is so delightful.
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm so sorry to hear you father had cancer...but so glad to hear his surgery went well. It runs in my family too...and my husband is a cancer researcher, working his butt off to kill off this disease in our lifetime!
ReplyDeleteAnd of course, lovely painting. I particularly like how he used shades of lavender and purple instead of blue...not that I don't love blue in many images of Greece, but I think this is a nice change!
