UPDATE!!!!!
Apparently, I have been operating under a severe delusion. A concerned individual from Lacoste USA in NY has just corrected me and informed me that the Lacoste logo is NOT an alligator, as I had thought all of my life, but is instead a CROCODILE!! Apparently there is a huge discrepancy and I should have examined the .75 inch emblem with a magnifying glass to detect the distinct difference! Let's chalk that up to another "blonde moment". I stand corrected...you learn something new everyday! Thank you, "Shopgirl"!
Thanks for the tip!! I'm the same way in terms of fashion :)
ReplyDeleteHowdy, from the cornfields of Ohio

That is one cute bag! I went to grad school in Florida (go gators!) and I never got used to seeing alligators on campus...I would avoid Lake Alice like the plague!
ReplyDeleteLove that site; I get email updates now on the sales, thanks to your last post about it.
ReplyDeleteThanks again :) They do have great deals.
Anne-I am neither prep nor bohemian, but Lacoste surely has gotten chic again. Nice to see these old companies like Burberry and Lacoste revamp their images and not go under.
ReplyDeleteGood god woman, you can't discern the difference between an alligator and a crocodile!!? Disgraceful. I cannot believe you were contacted to correct that!
ReplyDeleteJust the other day, I fell in love with a Lacoste summer tote --- see you later alligator, after while croco-dile!
ReplyDeleteOff to see if it is on s a l e....

I guess it is a FLORIDA thing.. UF as we pretend it is a GATOR!! Have a fabulous day!!

Hmmm...I'm pretty sure 95% of America would recognize that as a gator.
ReplyDeleteAnd don't you just love Ideeli? I just bought myself a Hayden-Harnett grey purse for my birthday (I buy my own bday gifts around here since the hubby isn't quite up on what I want). :)
Well you learn something new everyday...but I do agree that most would call it an alligator! You are one VERY CUTE blond if I do say so!
ReplyDeleteBlessings Girl!

ReplyDeleteThanks for the info...& Lacoste lighten up!!!
Love that tote! Sadly - I can't afford many crocodiles these days...maybe Target will crank out some alligators...
