How does this look for a cozy place to break from the Holiday busy-ness with a mid-morning cup of tea? I don't remember what publication I tore this out from (bad blogger form) but I LOVE IT~ I believe it's in a London townhouse, if memory serves me correctly. I have fond memories of reading the "Paddington" series of books as a kid and especially loved the idea of Paddington taking his "elevenses" or mid-morning tea and snack with antique dealer and friend Mr. Gruber. This looks like as good a place as any for elevenses, don't you think?
I love this space!! I could so enjoy a nice cup of tea or coffee and a good book here!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous room, Anne and, it does look quite English. The only thing that I would have to get rid of is the animal print fender around the fire. I can't bear (hehe) animal print !!!! But that's just my problem !! XXXX
ReplyDeleteYou are absolutly right. I could

Is that an alter bench in front of the fire.? We better start praying for good weather.
Warm wishes, Etc etc,etc,

Nothing like a mid morning tea can fix a gal's day, and if I could have one, I'd choose the room you have personally selected. : )

Very warm and inviting! I love the leopard seat detail on front of the fireplace!
ReplyDeleteI could not believe seeing this chair on your blog! It is one of my favorites. Several years ago I gave the photo to the design director of Hickory Chair hoping they would put it in their line. So far they have not.....but, it would be so perfect in a Living Room at right angles to a sofa.
