SMITTEN WITH SPANISH STYLE

all photos courtesy of Pinterest
I am very fortunate to live in a place where Spanish Colonial architecture is prevalent. I just love the style and am now in the habit of collecting photos of great architectural details to add to my files. I love the white stucco and baroque details, not to mention the strategic placement of beautiful flowering vines here and there, such as my beloved bougainvillea.

BELLE OF THE BATH

via Simply White

For those of you who are Pinterest fans like myself, you probably have a board for a million different categories. Lately, I have been working so much that I haven't had time to pin much, let alone break my categories down into subcategories, etc. Today I thought I'd share a few of my favorites on my bathroom board.

Which type of bathroom suits your tastes? Quirky, creative, luxe or traditional?
Are you searching for the perfect bathroom vanity?

I want to wish my wonderful Mother a very Happy Birthday today. Love you, Mom!
I am leaving town for a couple of weeks tomorrow, but will send a Thanksgiving greeting and update from my mystery location. I have scheduled some posts and a great give-away for next week, too, so make sure you stay tuned!
(P.S. my shop is still open and all orders will be shipped within 3-4 days after my return on Nov. 28)

GOOD REMINDER

I love Pinterest for many reasons, although I have to curb my time on there so I can get things done. Just wanted to share another great quote I found on there. So true! My heart and prayers go out to so many of my friends and readers who are dealing with devastation, loss and difficulty of varying degrees due to Hurricane Sandy here in the US. I cannot imagine how difficult it must be to be in your shoes right now!!
Peace......

KITCHEN CHARM

I love this kitchen!
I found it on Pinterest (where else?!!) The brightly hued art against all of the white is stunning. I also gravitate towards the marble vs. the generic granite that everyone has these days. Granite smacks too much of headstones in a graveyard for my tastes and once any trend takes over 50% of the population, I am automatically tired of it. The absence of upper cabinets is totally refreshing as well - makes the kitchen seem more like a real room, don't you think?
I hope you have a terrific weekend and don't forget my Mother's Day sale is still on for a few more days! 20% off everything in my Etsy shop (except the pillows). Just type in code at checkout: MOMS20

PRETTY CLEVAH

How clever are these little chairs made from champagne caps?  Recycling and art merging for certain. I used to spend hours making tiny baked goods out of Fimo clay for my dollhouse when I was a kid. I'd turn bottle caps upside down and make them into pies with lattice tops, so when I saw this, it almost made me want to try it. The only problem is that I don't have the time, nor do I drink, much less collect champagne cages.

I AM A BONAFIDE PINHEAD

Are you a pinhead?  Do you find yourself  making excuses to check your latest Pinterest notifications to make sure you aren't missing any juicy images or inspiration?  I do not consider myself prone to addictions, as I am fairly laid-back and moderate about most things. I can make a single bag of Nestle toll house chips into dessert for about 5 months. I am going to have to watch myself here, though. I never got into Facebook much, as I consider it more of a necessity for business than an outlet for entertainment or enjoyment (all of those petty status notifications seem very narcissistic and ludicrous) but Pinterest is seriously addictive, especially for the highly visual individual (ME!).  I think it's an absolutely genius invention and I know I am going to have to curb myself so that it doesn't take over TOO big a slice of my time pie.
What about you? Do you love it or what? Follow me here.
