This is a great solution for a vacation home - the over sized banquette provides lots of room for extended family or friends that are staying together. Plus, it just looks charming!

Or, maybe this is even better? So hard to decide!

Alys Beach is a relatively new resort community located in the beautiful Florida Panhandle. The beaches there are unparalleled in natural beauty. A few elements that set it apart from being just another high-end development are it's emphasis on sustainability, unique architecture and a sense of community. It was named for the matriarch of the town's founders and has a special quality of laid-back sophistication coupled with a family-friendly atmosphere. The architectural style is an eclectic blend of English, Antiguan and Guatemalan styles that comes together perfectly as the development's trademark and creates a crisp and distinctive silhouette against the azure skies. I have not stayed here yet, but have seen it in person and I can assure you that it is everything that it's "cracked up" to be. This would be the perfect place to rent a home for an extended family get-together or a reunion with friends. You have to go to the website to find out more for yourself and see all the beautiful images. Check it out right here.

Hello Trina, Megan, Joni and Patricia! Thank you all for stopping by and for your kind comments. This place really "grabbed" me, so I knew a lot of other people would probably enjoy seeing it, too. Hope you all have a wonderful MD weekend!
WOW! I am trying to plan a quick getaway this summer and this might just be the spot. It is breathtaking!!
Hi Lil Bee! Yes,isn't it beautiful?
Gorgeous!! I love the bedroom. Looks so so relaxing! I am now in the mood for a nap! :)
Alys Beach is down the street from me. You just inspired me to go visit!
The last bedroom has my heart. I just felt it flutter a little. :-)
Hi Kirsten - I agree, that room looks so perfect for a nap!
Seleta~ I would love to hear what you think of it!
This room reminds me of my post today on Ruthie Sommers'assistant's bedroom: a very clean palette with a few select punches of color. It's classic and pleasing to the eye. I love the bronze hardware on the doors for some contrast. The two baskets with tops at the end of the bed are very snappy, and bring in some great texture. Love that super comfy uphostered headboard that's just perfect for reading in bed.
I guess you could say I love this room.
Me too, Seleta. Thanks for your comment and I will have to check out your post!
Love this Anne--it has such a great relaxed vibe about it, yet is still so chic.
Your comment completely sums it up, Roseline! Thanks for stopping by!

Thank you, Mabelle! So glad you like it!
