I HAVE SOME BANANAS TODAY!
One of the perks of living in a tropical climate - bananas right outside my bedroom window. I couldn't believe it! I knew this was a banana tree, but guess I underestimated what a little Miracle Grow could do. I didn't really expect an actual clump of bananas to grow on it. The best part is that I've got some avocados on the other side of the house that are THE best avocados I have ever tasted. I happen to have an avocado obsession, so that's making me a happy camper. Thanks for your patience while I glory in the local flora. Do you have a garden or any trees that produce for you?

Anne-How fun! I am an avid gardener, but just flowers. I do have several quince, but I don't use the fruit. I adore avocados though.
Reminds of living in San Diego when there were so many avocados on my trees that they would fall on the ground and our German Shepherd Diablo would eat them!!
This is my first time stopping by your blog and I'm officially jealous. Bananas and avocados?! Life is good.
That's astounding. So far from my own reality here in Nova Scotia. Blueberries are what we do best here.
I once had a money tree that produced gorgeous green bills.
But then it got a terrible disease called April 15. I have tried Miracle grow but to no avail!!
Amazing! You are one lucky girl to have fruit right out your window. Enjoy! xoxo
Wow, that's so cool! I had no idea that you could grow bananas in Florida! You can't even grow watermelon in Germany!
...any cheeky monkeys nearby? I love bananas too.
Although I doubt they would grow here, I do have a garden and it is always a miracle to see what comes up!

Awesome! I love bananas, and would love to be able to grow them but unfortunately I live in Chicago, not the most ideal climate for tropical fruit! On a personal note, I'm back to blogging after some icky shoulder surgery, and your blog kept me afloat when I was recovering, so thanks for that my dear! Hope all is well!
