PARIS AT NIGHT

I was looking through my files and came across this photo of the Louvre by my brother Josh. It brings back some magical memories of walking through Paris at night with both he and my sister a few years back. I was the one who insisted on the three of us walking several miles back to the hotel....they have never let me forget it, as my sister needed to find a restroom and it took us much longer than I had projected. LOL. Good times and priceless memories - the photos that resulted aren't too bad either, as my brother is very talented. Do you have any travel photos that bring back a flood of memories for you?

Yes! Photos from Greece and the Greek Isles with my girlfriend Mary. Then there was London, and The Swiss Alps with my late husband who was a prince. Priceless!

Oh Anne.... a beautiful photo from your brother.....I love Paris. We are very lucky , living in England, as we can go to Paris for the day on Eurostar.
I have zillions of travel photos, all with special memories....I can just imagine your sister that night. There's nothing worse than being desperate for a restroom especially in a foreign country !!!! XXXX

Yes, lots! But sadly, none in Paris. Though I've been to small towns in Southern France, even to Toulouse and Lyons, somehow I've never been to Paris! It's on my top ten list of destinations, for sure. Gorgeous photo, and funny memory!!

Yes, one of me standing in front of the Trevi Fountain in Italy - I was pregnant with twins and I think I am glowing! I remember that like it was yesterday!
Gorgeous photo!

What a gorgeous photo. There is nothing like Paris at night. Well, NY at night is pretty awesome too. I love travel photos.

I get this with pictures from the various international trips I took before becoming a parent. Now that we have small children and really can't go abroad with them (and live to tell the tale that is...) those vacations seem so exotic and long ago. The people can travel now is kind of magical. Being half way across the world in a day never ceases to amaze me. I see, hear, smell, etc. so intensely. It's almost like be a child again.

And of course, those trips always make for the best stories...

Your brother took a fabulous photo! And what a great topic, travel pictures really seem to provoke lots of memories, especially those with close friends and/or family, those are the best.

Enjoy your Tuesday!

I love to walk in Paris at night too. My niece was not up to it unfortunately-Boy what she missed.
It's odd that more Parisiens do not take advantage..?
Great photo!!

How lovely! A few years back I was right there too. May have even dined nearby, not a wonderful meal but who cared, we were in Paris. Happy Tuesday!

I love this photo and the Elkins chair! I have fun memories of Paris when I was about 25 with a girlfriend. Aren't we blessed to have the capability to have pictures that can bring to mind fun times?

Anne, this reminds me of walking back to our place one night after having missed the last metro and not being able to find a taxi. It was a VERY LONG walk! At 2am! Never trust that you'll be able to hail a cab in Paris! It just ain't so. Thanks for sharing this photo (and memory).
