TIME FOR ELEVENSES

How does this look for a cozy place to break from the Holiday busy-ness with a mid-morning cup of tea? I don't remember what publication I tore this out from (bad blogger form) but I LOVE IT~ I believe it's in a London townhouse, if memory serves me correctly.  I have fond memories of reading the "Paddington" series of books as a kid and especially loved the idea of Paddington taking his "elevenses"  or mid-morning tea and snack with antique dealer and friend Mr. Gruber. This looks like as good a place as any for elevenses, don't you think?

What a gorgeous room, Anne and, it does look quite English. The only thing that I would have to get rid of is the animal print fender around the fire. I can't bear (hehe) animal print !!!! But that's just my problem !! XXXX

Is that an alter bench in front of the fire.? We better start praying for good weather.

Nothing like a mid morning tea can fix a gal's day, and if I could have one, I'd choose the room you have personally selected. : )

I could not believe seeing this chair on your blog! It is one of my favorites. Several years ago I gave the photo to the design director of Hickory Chair hoping they would put it in their line. So far they have not.....but, it would be so perfect in a Living Room at right angles to a sofa.
