Thank you to Pink Preppy Partygirl for featuring my matchboxes from Shandell's
Elegance Redefined for featuring my new "Domestic Bliss" print
and new blog Style Key West for the props!
then, there's California-based art teacher Tisha Smith who based an art lesson on my chairs.
and once again, Sarah at Flourish Design & Style featured my new print in her "Hint of Pink" post.
Thank you!
I SO appreciate all of you.
I would also like to thank Yvonne Rosenfield of La Petite Gallery for nominating me for a "Kreative Blogger" award. I am supposed to share 7 things about myself and nominate 7 more bloggers.
I so admire Yvonne for her spunk and for being adventurous enough in her 70's to take up blogging - she's amazing!
Ok, here in no particular order, are 7 things about me:
1) I do not have much of a sweet tooth, but I definitely have a fondness for Bob's peppermint sticks
2) I know I am hardly any paragon of hipness but I still can't wrap my head around the whole "Twilight" craze. I just don't get it - it creeps me out, esp. the wolf bit. End of rant.
3) I am fairly opinionated, but try to keep it to myself most of the time (unless asked!)
4) I once ate an entire deviled crab, shell and eyes included. I was 4 and ate whatever was set before me. Ouch.
5) I generally open doors in public with my foot or a paper towel. Yes, I am a germaphobe, too. I have been called "Howard Hughes" on more than 1 occasion by a rather unkind person. I promise I am not that bad. Am I?
6) I still like McDonald's french fries once in a while, with plenty of salt.
7) I never sneeze just once.......9 times in a row is my all-time record.
I am going to nominate the following blogs for a Kreative Blogger award:
Design's for You
Sound of Lace
79 Ideas
La Dolfina
Swoon

Southern Comfort in a Northern Life

i am a complete germaphobe too!! i do the same things with doors, and bring my own sheets and towels when i stay in hotels. we stayed at a brand new ritz carlton on our honeymoon and i still brought my sheets! haha.
Love how you do this Anne! I've found some great new sites from these thank you's.
I love your list and I'm totally with you on the "Twilight" craze.
I do enjoy these lists. When we finally meet let's make McDonald's our first stop, for a few fries. Maybe twice a year I do that.
Have a great day Anne.
I, too, indulge in salty McDonalds fries, on occasion. Mm and I am amazed at the crab story! Congratulations on all the mentions! Very well deserved!
Congratulations!!!! And...I am so very happy to get to know a fellow germaphobe.
Thanks Anne! My first bloggie thing from someone. You made my day and made me smile:) I am headed over to post my 7 things!
Ha! My stepdaughter sneezes like that.
I also open doors the same way so don't feel bad.
Anne, I don't get Twilight either! And I even like vampire stuff generally (I love True Blood!), but I just found Twilight tedious.
O how sweet of you to nominate me for this...this is a first for me, and I am going to think hard tonight with the little pussy kats, see what they want to write about themselves.
The matches look so beautiful with your vases on them.
xox
Hi Anne,
I am with you totally on #5 and #6 which means I have to wait for someone to come out so I can have some fries. I let them open the door. Great blog mentions Anne and so deserved as always. XO
Hee Hee, I have always sneezed in multiples. At my old firm, if a new rep was in to see me and I started to sneeze, the office would chime in right behind the rep who said 'bless you' and say you have to wait until she gets all ten out!
That I sneeze as loud and as tiny as a wee baby elf doesn't help either.
:P
Congrats on the award and thanks for sharing all those little secrets.
Fun list!
Nice post ;)
Love salty fries and congrats on the artwork making it in the final version of the movie!
Anne,
Thank you sooo much for your mention of Style Key West. This is our first foray into blogdom, so every bit of encouragement is wonderful
I always love your comments on The Big Piece of Cake and adore your artwork. Of course, especially the chairs. I was thrilled to get a few items for Christmas.
Best wishes,
Jo
