I have long been a fan of Stray Dog Designs, so it was great to see that West Elm was collaborating with them this season to bring some great pieces in white with a great sculptural quality. I remember speaking with Stray Dog founder Jane Gray years ago at market in Atlanta and she was very gracious and warm. I admire their commitment to use recycled materials and pay fair wages to their craftspeople - a win/win for everyone. I also really like this new lamp, although the shade has been toned down/neutralized a bit for the mass market crowd.....it could be juiced up again with a little tweaking or new shade altogether. You can find it here.
This side table is another great "textured" piece that caught my eye.

love stray dog products and is so unusual to see such neutrals. wonder if they are still using that huge glass finial for west elm?

Funny name for a creative company I did not know until today.
Funny, I keep going back and forth and eyeing some of the Stray Dog Designs - which I love for the simplicity.

Ooohhh...I like it, too. I also love that simple, not overly contrived setting w/ the books and pictures.
The side table is amazing.
Here's the proof that simple is always effective.
