I absolutely LOVE to eat. When I do watch TV, it's often something on The Food Network. I even enjoy painting food (see image above). My friend Sabina, over at Barefoot in the Orchard posted this amazing list she found on the blog Very Good Taste. It includes 100 items that every omnivore should try in his or her life. You are supposed to copy the list from Very Good Taste's "The Omnivore's 100" and post it to your blog, bolding the items you've tried and putting an asterisk by any you would NEVER try. (Although, I have to say, the tale of Green Eggs and Ham does come to mind...)
It's a fun little exercise if you've got some time to kill - I've tried 38 out of 100. Not very impressive, but there are some on the list I just COULD NOT stomach.

Hello Anne- yummy painting! I have to say I love borscht!
This is a fun post! Thanks for sharing. Have a golden day!
Having lived abroad, I've tried some funny things, including Haggis, live snails and raw herring. I've also eaten some odd foods here.
I am a foodie! I will try almost anything once. Somethimes it is better that I not know what it is.
Sweets are my downfall, and comfort food is the best!
love your etsy shop!

I do love to eat, but not sure I'm brave enougth to be a foodie!
What a fun list. I have had a lot of it!!! Okay Annechovie--you have tried WHOLE insects and Haggis but not pistachio ice cream?
Kim
Me too, I have tried too many to admit and that is why this foodie has become a fattie! xv
I simply ADORE this Laduree piece! Laduree has been a staple of mine for the past five years. No trip to Paris (or London for that matter) is complete without at LEAST one meal here. I have little Laduree momentos all over my apartment and was even lucky enough to snag a copy of their book while in London this summer (it was ALWAYS sold out in Paris).
Oh my goodness Anne -- roadkill? I would definitely put an asterisk beside that one as well :)
Hope you're having a great week so far!
xo
Anne...I tried this and got 69! Not too bad!
Wow what a list- I can scratch off 46 and totally credit it to the fact that my grandparents were from Poland and Hungary and have trained my taste buds well (I enjoy eating like a bubby, hence the carp and lox, haha)
