STANDING OUT IN THE CROWD

I love it when someone creative moves into a neighborhood and has the guts to do something different and unexpected. I lost track of the origins of this photo, it's been in my archives so long, but I believe it's in Buenos Aires, Argentina. That's a definite place on my go-to list.

Have a great weekend, everybody! See you on Monday!

I LOVE it! The architecture is beautiful, and the owner had the boldness to see beyond white.
Enjoy your weekend!

When I was in junior high, I read a book titled "Dare to Be Different"...It was about young women, coming of age and feeling good about themselves and their choices. It made an impression. I've always appreciated when someone dares to color outside of the lines and show their true colors. This is fabulous Anne. Have a super weekend!

Just lovely...I just finished rendering a townhouse this week; they are fun, because of what you chose to include on the sides. This one definatly stands out on the block.

Argentina is suppose to be beautiful! Hope you get there.

Beautiful architectural details on both the pink and the white building. Also, love the doors on both.

I think you have said it...it does take guts to have style, doesn't it. I love love love that pink.. wow! It's like the perfect shade. Sometimes I still stare at my bright blue front door and think people are like who is the crazy lady with that bright door and it is just my door. This year I want to paint it pink but I don't think my husband is going to go for that. I think it would be pretty cool. I could be the crazy lady that paints her door a different color every summer. And what a memory that would make for my kids!

This reminds me of a house in my neighborhood when I was growing up that was bright purple. My sister and I always got such a thrill out of driving by it. Buenos Aires is amazing...happy to give you some travel tips if you make it down there!

I forgot to memntion that normally I would not want to be across the street and look out at a home like ths, somehow though this is different in a beautiful way, (My parents, in a lovely Cape Cod, have a bright turquoise house across the street from them. Of course the owners do not have to look out the windows at it!

Raspberry Sorbet! Love it. Could very well be in Athens, too, though it's not, judging from the taxi. But the mixture of styles is typical.
Aesthetically I am not for it, I'm afraid. I would like it more if it were for a new building. But I agree about the unexpected and creative part. I just not favor the destructive bit!
