Why are they messing with orchids and giving them these garish and unnatural colors??
Has anyone else seen these around? Thoughts?
I am serving on jury duty today, but I will be back (hopefully) with a post by Friday.

I have no idea why they do that...happy jury duty Anne!
This "trend" hasn't reached my small Canadian city (thank God). I can't understand why someone would take something so beautiful and deliberately try to make it ugly.
this is especially sad for me because i just watched adaptation the other night! have you seen it? it's such a fab movie that always reignites my fascination with orchids and the florida swamp:)
I spot these frequently on the shelves in the grocery store floral section.... and quickly look away. Yikes!

I have never understood this...so weird.
Couldn't agree more! Was assaulted by an entire display of these last time I walked through the doors of the Home Depot!
