CUTE AND CONSERVATIVE

With gas prices the way they are and garage space at a premium, I think I may have just found the perfect answer. The color is great, the styling sleek (ok, maybe not, but distinctive, anyway). What's not to love? I could cruise around town and have plenty of cargo room in the back for my art paraphernalia and what have you.....I could tailgate at art fairs......deliver gelato......deliver produce.....the possibilities are endless!! I actually saw some of these a few years ago in Italy. The Vespa Ape - I am sure no one on my block (or in my town, for that matter) has one. What do YOU think?

It's lovely! I have been thinking of a Vespa lately, or a mini, just for city driving - BUT, am kept back because of an accident I was in yrs. ago. I was driving a Honda Civic, stopped at a red light behind several other cars. The 18-wheeler behind me started to drive when the cars in front of me started to move on the green light, but I hadn't been able to go yet. He tried 3 times to drive over me before he realized there was a little car there! Finally, the other cars had moved on, and I could move forward enough that he could see me - he'd forgotten he had driven up so close behind me & couldn't see my car.
My thought is that as long as there are such big rigs around, our gas friendly options are not so safe!-much as we'd like to save the gas...

Hello Kathleen~
Thank you for stopping by and I agree with you about safety issues. Sorry to hear about your accident - that's scary! Those big trucks can be such bullies sometimes and as cute as this or a vespa may be, it is a bit frightening with all these mega-suvs and trucks that like to run you down - you feel so vulnerable!

Hi Kimberlee!
Yes, you are exactly right - it looks JUST LIKE a face...the nose, mouth, eyes, they're all there!

Yes, you are right, Joni, I have always loved Minis and they're more practical. I just thought this was unique - I'd probably never actually get one. Have a great week!

Isn't it, Su Ling? You don't see those over here and I just think it's so unique-looking. It'd be fun to drive one....

Anne, that is the coolest! I haven't seen one of those in years! I can just see you putt-putting down to the beach to sell your wares, with little coral paintings on the side and an ANNECHVY license plate!
