WEEKEND SNAPS

This past weekend here in Southwest Florida was much cooler than usual, I even pulled a turtleneck out of storage to wear -

but I don't see any snow or shovels, do you?
I am very blessed to live in such a warm and sunny climate.......they don't call it the "Sunshine State" for no reason. I have never once regretted moving to this place, not even in the middle of Hurricane Season. I am not built to withstand the cold and I experienced enough sub-zero temps growing up in Michigan to last me a lifetime.

.
My brother sent me this photo of my adorable niece and nephews with their new puppy making the most of the snow in Atlanta. For all of those who are still snowed-under and iced-over, I offer my most sincere sympathies.
Keep Warm - this, too, shall pass!

Oh Anne-I grew up in Chicago and hated the winters. One thing I have loved about DC is the relatively mild winters and little snow. We just got three feet in one week and beat the record for most snow in a winter in history. You may be getting a new neighbor.

I'm packing my bags and coming to visit! :) This waking up cold every morning is getting a little old.

Love the photo ~ they are adorable!

This is the worst time of year to be living away from the South Florida I grew up in! I get to hear "it's 75 and sunny here" just about everyday from my Dad. It's not fair!

This too shall pass....I love it.
We have been blessed with just the right type of snow event....it comes down very beautifully...and then after 12 hours...it melts...and all is relatively warm...smiles.

Dear Anne,
What an adorable photograph of your niece and nephews.... and they are having fun. See Anne, snow can be quite good fun !!
I must say the two photos of the beach look very tempting and I am now fed up with the cold weather here. I will have to be patient for the warmer weather to arrive...meanwhile, you enjoy he Florida weather, even though it's a little cooler than usual. XXXX

I'm so envious of your warm climate. It has been so cold here this winter. We aren't used to it. Have a great week.

I am a native Floridian that has moved to Cincy and I am not cut out for this weather either:(

Summer can not get here quick enough.

Now I know why people move to the sunshine state.

Wow it's gorgeous in Florida even when it's cool. I miss winters there! That photo of your family is adorable! Hope you had a great weekend Anne!

I have to say the same thing...how gorgeous! I have to agree that warmer climates grow on one with time at least. I could not take so many months of snow, maybe just a little : )

Have a great Monday Anne!

It WAS fun having snow for the weekend, it's all gone now and that's fine too. It is COLD though, I'm not complaining though! I hope you had a great weekend!

Loved your version of "chilly" snaps!!! I was born in Florida, met my husband at a pool in Virginia. I love the beach. How in the world did I end up in a semi-southern state with four feet of snow on the ground???

As much as I do find snow beautiful...what is it people tell you, "say when?" WHEN! UNCLE! ENOUGH ALREADY! I'm so done with snow prison. Spring is just a month away right? Right???

Yes, I am so glad to call FL my home as well...even if it has been super cold lately! Coming from Michigan, I am sure you appreciate it. (My mother is from MI too :)

We are on the other side for a few days of sun and although it is not as warm as it normally is, I can't say that I miss shoveling!
Hi from Southwest Fla!

Adorable! I was excited for Atlanta's mild winters, but regrettable they have picked up in intensity. Would happily transfer to sunny FL if possible!

The kiddos are so adorable, Anne! At my girls' night last night I actually wore sandals....yes, in Maine, in February! There is hardly any snow on the ground so I am thinking spring! (If we have an awful March, I may be coming to visit!)
