AT HOME IN LAKE FOREST

Having spent a large part of my childhood in the Midwest, I have great memories of the older homes and leafy lanes in Summer. This vintage Tudor style home was commissioned by a client in a beautiful, forested suburb of Chicago. I enjoy the diversity of being able to capture all types of homes in many different locations, but all with two things in common - beauty and the comfort of familiarity that is found only at home. Why don't you let me make your home my next subject? Contact me here for more details.....

Oh this is beautiful. We relocated to Chicago from NY. Recently we bought a home in the Western Suburbs. I have been to the Northern burbs & wow they are really beautiful! When we finish our landscaping this Spring, I will contact you about doing a painting of our home. This is lovely!!

A friend of my dad's did me a water color of the house that we left in Florida and I love it. Doesn't it make you happy to do things for people that bring them happiness?

Anne, wonderful Midwest illustration of a Tudor (many of them here in Kansas City!)

very pretty - my grandmother does paintings of houses also, and this is stylistically similar to what she does.
i would love for my future house to have one done, but i'm not sure how my current house would pan out in a painting, it's just a house right on top of another, no trees. oh suburbs

So pretty and I grew up in Lake Forest too! I am now in NYC- but will always be a Midwestern girl at heart. I hope some day when I buy my first house that you can do my very own painting for me too! Love your work and your blog!

Charming! I love the way the roof blends into the trees. Re: below - that quote is so darling!

I visit Lake Forest a few times every year because the company I work for has headquarters nearby. I love to walk around with my camera because the homes there are breathtaking. What a lovely part of the country you are fortunate enough to come from!

This is so nicely done. I am growing more and more tempted with the idea of a drawing like this of my own! Your work is just great...
