LOOK OUT BOBBY FLAY....

Here comes Sam.....
My nephew just turned 8 years old and is obsessed with cooking, and more specifically, grilling.
Here he is with his favorite birthday gift, a mini Weber grill and the requisite grilling utensil.
Need I mention his favorite entertainment is cooking shows on TV?
Is the Food Network impacting young lives or what? He probably has registered at Williams-Sonoma for his Christmas wishlist. A panini maker? A gelato machine?
To think I only got a chintzy 30 minutes with Julia Child once a week on PBS when I was that age....
Maybe one day he'll let Aunt Annie come on his show and peel vegetables.

That photo and title is so cute...
I enjoy watching cooking shows,
and if they have an impact on young kids I'd say its a good thing, much better than those violent cartoons.

Wow a future chef in the making I think! What gorgeous hair he has too. He reminds me of my five year old who has a similar color and cut. I bet everybody comments on it. Sally x

Dear Anne,
I think that it's wonderful that children as young as Sam are interested in cooking. We need the new generation to cook and eat healthily. Well done Sam ! He will be like Jamie Oliver and have his own TV show by the time he is a teenager !! XXXX

That's fantastic Anne, how wonderful to have such a passion at such a young age...he's cute too, perhaps the next Curtis Stone? Wish him a lot of fun and many many culinary creations ahead x :)

What 8 yr. old wants a grill for his bday? Hilarious, but a beautiful thing to know your passion so early!
Have a great day.

How great is that gift? Wish we'd had food network around when I was a kid, it's very possible I'd be in a different line of work. Hope Sam gives Bobby Flay a run for his money!
