FLORAL FANCY

I came across these handmade flower holders on Etsy and thought they were a perfect way to display some blooms in an artistic and charming way. The seller, Kerstin is based in Germany and creates these little jewels from real wood that is hand finished. Design-wise, I am a dichotemy. Part of me loves tried & true traditionalism and the other part of me digs the cutting edge, offbeat and innovative. I guess enjoy stuff that manages to satisfy both.

BEACH PHOTOGRAPHY IN DECOR

I know it's been a trend for a while now, but beach photography in decor is something I never get bored with. Just like being at the beach, its' appeal doesn't wane with me. This piece is from London-based Etsy artist/photographer Keri Bevan and is a steal. Check out some of her other prints also, like this beautiful Paris rooftop scene - timeless and chic!

Etsy has been a great venue for me to sell my work for the last 6 years. I also try to support my fellow Etsy sellers anytime I can. If only Etsy could stop the rip-off artists who steal my work and market it as their own, I'd be perfectly happy. In the meantime, I need to send a cease and desist letter to some unscrupulous copycat who is somehow ignorant of the immutable fact that you will definitely end up reaping what you sow in life and if you're a dishonest thief, that doesn't bode well for your future. 

Ok, off my soapbox now....deep breath.
