A RECENT COMMISSION

This is a custom commissioned piece that I recently completed for a Chinoiserie decor-loving client in San Francisco per her unique specifications. This piece was larger than most of my commissions at 30" x 40".

If you have interest in commissioning your own special piece or giving a one-of-a-kind work of art as a gift, please don't hesitate to contact me here.

Hope you have a relaxing weekend!

PROVENCE TERRACE

MIRROR AND CANDLESTICKS

This is now available as a print in my Etsy shop.

A STUDIO IN CALIFORNIA

One thing I very much enjoy about being an artist is the chance to see the work and living spaces of my clients. I have met some wonderful people from so many diverse places who have commissioned me to paint their personal spaces. Each job is completely unique. This recent painting features a colorful California creative studio. It's one of my personal favorites, because the owner and I share a similar appreciation of "beach" colors and a laid-back, cottage style.

Do you have a special place you'd like immortalized? Please contact me here for more info. - I'd love to work with you!

INTERIORS NOTECARD COLLECTION

The 4 interior paintings featured in my new notecard collection

It's a new year and, as promised, I am introducing some new items on my Etsy site. Today, I've added a new set of notecards. Featured in the collection are 4 of my most popular interior paintings: Aqua Interior, Lulu Guinness' Tea Table, Lily's Desk and Tented Conservatory. There are 8 notecards/envelopes in each set - 2 of each painting. They are a very nice way to write a thank-you or let someone special know you are thinking of them. Buy one box for a friend and another for yourself! Check them out here on my ETSY SITE!

More greeting cards have been added to my Etsy site! 4 more of my most popular designs are now available: Aqua Interior, Louis Chair No. 3, Louis Chair No. 1, and the Vintage Mini Cooper. Special discounts are available when you buy several, plus, it saves on shipping! These 5x7 cards are the standard size greeting cards, blank inside and come with an envelope in a clear protective sleeve. They are even suitable for framing, if you want a "mini" print collection. Great to have around for many different occasions. Look for the notecard sets coming out within the next week also! I will also be adding some holiday cards - hopefully they will be on my site by next week. I am in the midst of jury duty now, so I am a little distracted and short on time this week. Hope everyone's week is going well so far!

This was a commission I did for uber-talented designer and blogger Patricia Gray of Vancouver, Canada. She designed this very hip, modernistic and all-white room in a city apartment. The focal point of this room is 4 chairs by Italian designer Paolo Rizzatti - his own take on the traditional wingback chair. It was published in the December 2006 edition of Architectural Digest. Here is the post Patricia wrote on it.

This is a painting I did for Holly Becker of Decor8 design blog. It was featured in a post by her yesterday on her blog. This is a room she designed for the Fall 2007 issue of Adorn Magazine. Holly is a very talented designer and writer who has been a pioneer in the world of design blogs. Her blog is a hip and reliable source for the latest and best. She is also an exceptionally nice person. She was the first to feature my work and has been so incredibly helpful in getting the word out. She has been beyond supportive, as she is to so many indie artists, designers, bloggers and craftspeople out there. Thank you, Holly, for the mention yesterday, and for everything!

Now this piece is available as a print in my Etsy shop. Please contact me at: anneharwell@hotmail.com if you would like a similar painting done of your favorite room.
