How does this look for a cozy place to break from the Holiday busy-ness with a mid-morning cup of tea? I don't remember what publication I tore this out from (bad blogger form) but I LOVE IT~ I believe it's in a London townhouse, if memory serves me correctly. I have fond memories of reading the "Paddington" series of books as a kid and especially loved the idea of Paddington taking his "elevenses" or mid-morning tea and snack with antique dealer and friend Mr. Gruber. This looks like as good a place as any for elevenses, don't you think?

I love this space!! I could so enjoy a nice cup of tea or coffee and a good book here!!
What a gorgeous room, Anne and, it does look quite English. The only thing that I would have to get rid of is the animal print fender around the fire. I can't bear (hehe) animal print !!!! But that's just my problem !! XXXX
You are absolutly right. I could
sit there in a daze for Days on end. ha ha aha
No kidding I like it .
Is that an alter bench in front of the fire.? We better start praying for good weather.
Warm wishes, Etc etc,etc,
Yvonne
Absolutely! I agree. Tea, a book, and a fire - divine!
What a perfect spot.
Cozy indeed, I love seeing a fireplace glowing with flames of warmth.
What a beautiful room, and, yes, I can picture Paddington and Mr. Gruber there!
you put it so lovely and perfectly- the ultimate spot for elevenses indeed!

Nothing like a mid morning tea can fix a gal's day, and if I could have one, I'd choose the room you have personally selected. : )

Perfectly chic! Love it! And I could definitely go for a fire right about now!
Indeed it does! That fireplace is stunning.
If you change the tea with cup of cappuccino and I will be so happy :)
Thank you for sharing this.
Wish you great week :)

The fireplace is perfect for me. A wonderful glass of wine and a plate of fruit and chocolates.

lovely, soft, inviting room.
That looks like the perfect spot to cozy up with a book and enjoy a morning latte. Sigh. Just beautiful!
I love love love it! We're getting a major snowstorm in Chicago tonight, and that scene looks wonderful to me right now. Thanks for the cozy!

Very warm and inviting! I love the leopard seat detail on front of the fireplace!
I could not believe seeing this chair on your blog! It is one of my favorites. Several years ago I gave the photo to the design director of Hickory Chair hoping they would put it in their line. So far they have not.....but, it would be so perfect in a Living Room at right angles to a sofa.
