but they don't have ANY idea what an ill-fitting slipcover they're sitting on! And what's it doing on the patio?
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and I'll see you back here Monday with a terrific new interview!

So cute!
The English take on slipcovers is very loose unlike American slipcovers which fit almost like upholstery. For further info on this see "Brunschwig & Fils Style" by Chippy Irvine and Murray Douglas.
Vicki, thanks - glad you liked it. Hope your weekend is a great one!
Anon- very astute observation. You are correct and I like that look also, along with some of the lived-in wear and tear like pet clawings and such. The British are not as self-conscious or perfectionists as Americans, which makes their interiors look less contrived. I like both looks for different reasons...
Hi Anne,
I love that photo....I have slip covered sofas but they are not that loose. They do have cat clawings however!
Happy Belated Birthday,
annie @ firefly hill
I love the moment this picture captures! Looking forward to reading your interview later.
Anne - looks like quirkiness is what today is all about, up for a game of tag, I tagged you to play along, back to me for the rules.
Annie~
Glad you liked it!Thanks for the bday greeting.
Lecia~ Thanks! hope you have a great weekend!
Patricia~ I am on my way over!
Wouldn't it be wonderful if all couples could be so relaxed and lighthearted together!
Oh, yes Karena! It would be wonderful, too bad it's not always so in real life.
What a sweet pic! You can almost FEEL the relief and relaxation of the moment you kick off your shoes and plop on the couch after a long evening out! or in this case..looks like they hosted the party...and everyone just left...
Karena.. I agree.. it would be so wonderful if those days were THESE days!!!
Hello Ivy~ glad you liked it. That photo does really capture something, doesn't it?
They look like a couple of extras from the Spencer Tracy version of Father of the Bride. After the cameras were turned off on the outdoor reception scene.
You are exactly right, Pamela!
Maybe the couple is getting new furniture and threw this out on the patio to be picked up... and to celebrate on an evening with FAB weather they are toasting sofa for one last time... it came in handy for years!
BTW... your new photo is lovely!
Hope you weekend is wonderful!
What a neat photo! I like that they have these flaws in the photo-makes it more real! Have a nice day! Daisy~
Hello Fifi, that very well could be! Thanks for your sweet comments! Hope you have a great wknd also!

They do look lovely though. But who are these people who put upholstered furniture outside?
